When I first moved to LA I had many fantasies: one was that I would become a mother and the other was that I would write about art.

Both of these wishes came true. Both were harder and more rewarding than I expected.

These writings talk about the influence the two have on each other; how my growing understanding of what it means to be a parent has led to a deeper view of what it means to see art.
